To brand the excavation project of The Reno, a legendary, funk and soul 1970s cellar club in Manchester.

Beneath the grass on the corner of Moss Lane East and Princess Road lies a famous Moss Side basement club, The Reno. More than just a venue, The Reno was a civilisation, with its own black market, social structure, king and queen - all frustrated artists. The club was demolished in 1986, but in 2017, before the site was re-built on, playwright Linda Brogan was committed to creating a hub where fellow club-goers could gather to share stories and memories.

A diary of the excavation project was ultimately created, all funded by the Arts Council England. The success of the brand, project and website led to a 6-month residency exhibition at The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester.
